DON'T BLOW MY COVER!

Wattup fam, happy Friday!

I was reading the first chapter of Mark yesterday evening where Jesus agrees to heal Simon Peter's mother-in-law and I couldn't help but notice each time Jesus performed the healing miracle he instructed not to tell. Some years ago when I would read that chapter I could never understand why is it, Jesus didn't want anyone to know. He even rebuked evil spirits when they would unveil His identity. Was Jesus being super humble and wanted to ensure He wasn't given credit ensuring it would go to His father?

The more I read of the miracles Jesus performed, paying extra attention to His reaction, I began to receive deeper revelation as to why He reacted as such. Jesus knew very soon He would have to endure Calvary. If the people He needed to minister to caught wind that He was the Messiah, His cover would be blown...This is as Oprah would label and "AH HAA" moment.

Has there ever been a time where the Lord wanted to use you in an usual location, and as a result of your "deepness," the cover was blown and the assignment was compromised. This is why we must be assertive of who we are in the kingdom of God so that we won't need the exterior validation. Think about it: when we're in the grocery store, work, the mall etc., people won't know our kingdom status by meerly looking at us. Therefore, it's a great opportunity to introduce Jesus to those whom otherwise would instantly reject even hearing about Him from those "looking the part." In actuality there is usually a great level of timidness. The members of the church are often intimidated of those in leadership positions, so you can imagine how much greater this exists with those who are not in Christ.

Let's be honest, many Christians walk and talk differently! Let me elaborate...there is a overwhelming percentage of fake, carbon copy of phony original saints pastoring, evangelising, ushering, singing on the choir, or simply keeping the pews warm. As a result, Christendom has taken a severe blow. Nonetheless, there is still a remnant who is 100% authentic in who they say they are in Christ. However, because the task is challenging we must be sure to not blow our cover. There are multitudes of people who will NEVER come to church to find Christ therefore, we must take Christ to them.

So, starting this instance let's make a unified decision to not be so "heavenly high" that we're no earthly good. Really, God is so grand he doesn't need us with our fancy crosses and collars anyway! It's not about us, it's about recruiting souls for the kingdom. Perhaps if we all make a vow one by one to adapt this spirit, the kingdom would began to return to it's intended state! Think about it and act!

Have a wonderful, blessed & safe weekend. Until Monday...

CHALL~
