Happy Monday Everyone!
Okay so this is definitely not an entertainment blog however, from time to time there will be postings recapping or shouting out our kingdom sibz who rock in the biz! With that being said we must give a ROCK ON! to MARY MARY ft. QUEEN LATIFAH for the dopest performance last night on the 2009 BET Awards. You ladies rocked it out and it was one of my most memorable performances. JOB WELL DONE!
Mary Mary may not appear the average representation of what Christ is "suppose" to look like for some! However, He's all over them. It's ministries like Mary Mary that remind the rest of us that often times we are so focused on the 4 walls that we miss our assignments completely. Everyone's pulpit is not meant to be in the church. Truthfully, our pulpit is wherever our feet land, but there is a remnant of us whose pulpit may be in secular places. WOW~I already heard somebody say: "that ain't God." But it is soooo God! Jesus ate with sinners exclaiming it's the sick who needs the doctor, not the healthy. And i'm paraphrasing...
Our gifts reveal where our pulpit is located. For example: if you're a poet and you know it, LOL your pulpit could be various spoken word venues, if you're a bang out fashion designer, your pulpit could be the run way, you get the picture. We can't expect everyone who needs Jesus to run to the alter.....DID WE?? Therefore, we must take God out of our comfort zones and let Him show how to TRULY give Him glory via our service for the kingdom. When we pigeon hole God to fit our personal limits, we are NOT exercising faith. Yes the bible says to be wise and not foolish in our decisions but above all it says to make them through earnest prayer and supplication. There are so many pulpits that are dusty and falling apart all because we have not taken possession of them. The church pulpits are good and shiny and in some instances ready to catch on fire...but that's another blog.
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. James 1:5
If wisdom regarding our assignments lack, we should ask God immediately. Many have been mislead by the statement: "don't question God." We are not to question His position, meaning His decisions as in saying ours would be better, His authority, but we are allowed to ask regarding what is misunderstood...He's our father, He longs to train His children!
Let's make this our last day on the WRONG pulpit, or watching ours collect dust. There's work to be done.....so let's GET ER DONE!
Until Wednesday
