Helllllllllllllllllo cyber fam!!! I miss you all! Pray your weekend was wonderful!
Over the weekend I endured what I use to refer to as the "Hollywood breakdown." I use to refer to it as such when I resided in Los Angeles because it would be a time whereas I felt as if I could NOT endure another trial before loosing my mind. I was faced with this experience over the weekend however, this time, the Lord gave me a whole new revelation about it. It actually came on two separate topics ending at the exact same result. I cried out to God and I said, "I'm tithing without an income, giving an offering, reading my word, faithful to the blog, believing as hard as I know how and I don't have anything left." And the Lord clearly said: "all you need is to trust me. When it's all said and done your trust in me is what will bring about my miracles." Needless to say I was still a little angry because I "thought" I was trusting Him, but obviously I wasn't 100%.
The second was regarding sin and the reality that when we feel as if we are trusting God in vain or the blessings are not moving quick enough, sin is the most used reaction. We often resort to what is familiar and has been asleep. Let me expound. Many times we do not receive deliverance from the desire, we simply bury it. Therefore, when life presents challenges, the enemy awakens the sin and reintroduces it in a more enticing light. The Lord began to share with me that many become enslaved to their sins because they have placed a humanistic approach to the time frame in which sin can be forgiven. The bible says once we ask for forgiveness, it happens immediately and thrown into a sea of forgetfulness. But we tend to harbor the memory which results in mental slavery to the sin. The prophetic declaration of the Lord is that not only is sin forgiven and forgotten instantly upon request, the very next instant/second begins a NEW slate. We are not to be of sin nature, meaning religiously committing the act. When we seek forgiveness, we are to intend to NEVER embrace the temptation again.
So today we must make declaration that regardless what the physical appears, trusting God wholeheartedly will be our response. We must also declare that as humans we make mistakes, but the instant our Father in heaven has forgiven us, the next we must walk in newness.
