STRETCH MARX

HOW U DUIN? In the voice of Wendy Williams, yes sorry I must admit I am a frequent viewer of the show....yikes! LOL

The other week I noticed something my daughter did which caught my attention, but not in the way it did the other day. She sits in her seat with a hanging mobility toy above her and talk sometimes even fuss' at the toys because she's too afraid to fully extend her arms to reach them. Therefore, she becomes frustrated with them as a result. A few days ago Lyric was asleep in her chair and as she turned from side to side to gain comfort, she extended her arms which reached the toys, swaying them from side to side. WOW!

Now Lyric is only 3 months so the idea of trying new things is oblivious to her at this point. As for us, it's very familiar! How often is it that we don't allow what truly resides within to manifest as a result of being too afraid to stretch. I've come to realize in my blank years of existing, (LOL) that the times when I am completely uncomfortable and feeling out of my league, can be attributed to God stretching me. It's almost like He has to put us to sleep, meaning a position where we are uncertain of what takes place in order to pull us to greatness. However, like baby girl Lyric, we get frustrated with what lies ahead as opposed to the disability which resides within challenging the growth. Grant it, no one in their right mind will choose to be physically blind, nonetheless, imagine what we can obtain and are willing to embrace had we not had the ability to see what was current.

My riverz begin to flow a little deeper as I sat and looked at Lyric sway the toys. I thought of how just a few months prior my belly had stretched to maximum capacity to accommodate such a wonderful blessing. This is the same in the spirit for us. In the end our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual stretch marks will stand as a reminder of what was endured in order to gleam over the wonderful blessings in the end. So, to be honest, the journey the Lord takes us on regardless of how cumbersome, which by the way is determined by our response, is worth the stretching in the end. The reality of it all is that Jesus made each of us to His own liking, gifts, talents and all. It's like an artist who has been working on a master piece over time. Once the piece is completed, his primary goal is to have the labor appreciated by the viewers. It's the same with our heavenly father. He placed all of these wonderful characteristics inside of us and His ultimate desire is for us to live 100% fulfilled lives offering those gifts. He doesn't want us returning to Him loaded with all we refused to be stretched in order to expense. Stretch marks, although very annoying, represent our victories! Allow God to stretch you in every capacity of your life, especially those areas which you desire to control the most! Again, it's painful and annoying but the ends result is miraculous...Be Blessed!
